Hello, Friends!I've decided to go public on Twitter. No more picture of food on plates - this is going to be all me.
I was trying out a few pics when my tweeps @drpoling, @juliegraphics, and @TucsonMeetYrslf suggested I have my tweeple vote! Always up for a good competition, I decided that was an awesome idea .
So here are the pictures. Just leave me a comment on which one you like best. In order, the pictures are BeerFace, WineNose, and ProfileGulp. Voting will go on for 12 hours, after which time I'll tally things up and post the winner. Thank you for your vote!

Hmm. I was expecting a picture with food in it! Given the choices, I go #1 as it shows a nice full face. Second choice would be #2, though I feel like you're hiding behind the beer.
If I only have these three from which to choose, then wine it is. I actually think your "about me" photo is better and would have a greater chance of looking good really small on Twitter. I guess that is my major concern, with all of them - form vs. function. Nice idea to drive visitors to your site, so from a PR standpoint, you're way ahead no matter which one you choose.
Hi Kelley - I tend to look kind of silly in pictures with food in them. I'm not sure what it is, but food does me no photogenic favors. And you're quite right about the beer picture - I think the reason I like it is because I get to hide! Thanks for your input!

Thanks for your input. I see what you mean about the form v. function, but my thought in not using that photo was just to have a different image floating around out there. What I may do is use whatever people vote for here and then switch it out after a period of time. I don't think I need to worry about branding too much at this point!
You're right though, I'm happy that my tweeps came up with this idea - I've already had more visits today than any other day!

It's interesting that this has now come up twice. I guess that I don't really draw much of a distinction between food and drink.
Yes, I know they're completely different things, but beverage choice is an important aspect of the enjoyment of a meal. That's why I don't have a problem being the Food Dude and having a bev-centric photo.
Does that make sense? Anyone else take exception to this?

Personally, I like the picture under the caption: About Me. It makes you look like an approachable kind of guy and a people person.
If I have to choose between the three, I would have to pick the 3rd one with your side profile and the wine glass up to your nose. It's the least pretentious.
Two votes for the "about me photo" several for something else that includes food. This is going to be tough. Aren't you glad everyone is so opinionated? ;-)
The wine sniffing photo, looking directly into the camera. My vote.
If I had to pick one of the photos listed, I'd pick the wine sniffing photo, mostly because of the cardigan and your slight smirk :)
I know I'm too late but I'd rather see you pictured armed with sack (recycled of course) full of farmers' market groceries. You're the food (dude)!!!!
Hi Monica - I've already decided to have my next pic with food after all of the hullabaloo by beverage pics caused. I like the farmers' market idea - that may just be in the running!
